Message I've been wanting to get my hands dirty ever since selling mine but I just haven't had the time. A local guy posted on here asking for help but I didn't see the post. Thankfully, Keefe (BoneZ) saw it and told the guy to get in touch me with. I got his e-mail, replied back, and we settled on today. Basically, he needed to replace his EFI harness with the motor in the car. I only had 3 hours to work today but we got a decent amount accomplished.

It took an hour and 15 minutes to remove the plenum. I forgot how sucky it is to remove them for the first time when all the water hoses are still attached and all the clamps are facing the opposite direction. We then got to ripping out the old EFI harness. That took about an hour and 45 minutes. The firewall clamps sucked hardcore even with the plenum off. In the end, we got way further than I expected for having such a short amount of time to work.

We got the harness out just as my 3 hour window came to a close. Hopefully, he'll be able to run the new harness as I don't know when I'll have time to get back over there again. BTW, the harness Bernie helped make is really nice. I got to see it today for the first time.

Anyway, here is one shot I snapped right after we got the plenum off.

Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!

WILL JSCHRAUWEN EVER ANSWER MY QUESTION?

John, stop it! You are not allowed in AMS threads and you know it. -- marty1mc

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
